Membership restrictions

Teachers Health Fund membership is available to current and former members of education unions, including student, part-time and full-time members. Eligible unions include: NSW Teachers Federation, Australian Education Union and affiliated unions, Independent Education Union of Australia and affiliated unions, State School Teachers Union of Western Australia, Institute of Senior Education Administrations NSW, National Tertiary Education Union, support staff who are or were employed by the NSW Department of Education and Training, the Office of the NSW Board of Studies or the Institute of Teachers or in the TAFE commission who are or were members of their appropriate unions (where one exists). In addition, Teachers Health Fund eligibility rules allow for the above’s partner, children, siblings, parents and grandchildren to join the fund.
